Word crafting puzzle joy that never wears off! Combine letters to create words. Survive as long as you can in Endless mode, or play against others in Multiplayer! Words in Progress offers: - A unique new word game - Single player endless mode - Multiplayer asynchronous mode - Long and steady learning curve - Clean, cozy and crisp design - Fun for all ages - Multi language support A game of Words in Progress starts with seven letters vertically aligned on the screen. It’s up you to combine these letters into words. When a letter is removed from its position and attached to letters in another row, the empty spot is filled with a new letter from your pile. When you submit a word, the same thing happens. Words in Progress has a few game modes: single player Endless mode, Practice mode, and Multiplayer mode. In single player Endless Mode, you try to stay in the game as long as possible. To prevent your letter pile from emptying and going game over, you will need to complete different challenges. In Multiplayer mode, you and your opponent both have 40 letters to start with. Will you add new letters to words that are still in progress to try and create a long word, and risk ending up with an incomplete and invalid word? Or will you succeed, and reap the high reward for long words? Playing it safe by ‘cashing in’ shorter but valid words is another strategy to consider, but you'll have to play smart to defeat your opponent!
Words in Progress is a captivating word puzzle game that challenges players to combine letters into valid words. Starting with seven letters vertically aligned on the screen, players move letters to form words, with new letters filling empty spots from a pile. The game offers multiple modes: Endless mode for solo play, where the goal is to survive as long as possible by completing word challenges; Practice mode to hone skills; and Multiplayer mode, where players start with 40 letters and strategize to outscore opponents by forming longer words or playing it safe with shorter ones. With a clean, cozy design, multi-language support, and a steady learning curve, it’s fun for all ages. Recent updates include a new icon and a refreshed default theme with a classic tiled word game vibe, while retaining the original theme as 'Classic Red'. Developed by Gamious B.V., Words in Progress is available through Apple Arcade and requires iOS 13.5 or later, iPadOS 13.5 or later, macOS 11.0 or later, tvOS 13.4 or later, or visionOS 1.0 or later.

SVP pouvez-vous ajouter un bouton « annuler » (undo) ? J’ai un problème de dextérité et il m’arrive souvent d’ « échapper » une lettre au mauvais endroit. Merci.

Great game. But some words aren’t in it’s dictionary, which can be frustrating.

Great word game

I was completely addicted to WiP for a long time and only recently lost interest. It provided many hours of entertainment and brain stimulation. 😊

Ok, needs work

The game is fun at first but then the cracks start to show a bit. The user interface is not great and the number of times that I’ve misclicked and messed my whole game up is high. Maybe a one letter undo feature at least would be beneficial. I also find that the letter selection is too much of the same all the time and not enough variety leading to boring games. It has potential but just needs some polishing.

Just try to spell that word every game and it defeats most players. 200+ points if you do it right. Even more for “westernizations”. Regarding undo: rather than confirming each merge, what if you had an option to undo but where you had to request the next tile? If there’s already an unrequested tile, merging again gives you the previously unrequested tile. This would allow a single undo without revealing the next letter and might be less jarring than confirming each merge.

Not a good game. Scores never show up.

Disappointed

I enjoy word games but this was disappointing. Hoped to play with my friend but after a few games it kept saying challenge failed, there are too many open challenges against this opponent. The games showed as finished. Frustration…so we move on to the next app.

J’adore, mais…

J’aime beaucoup le jeu, malheureusement il semble y savoir un problème avec la reconnaissance des mots, comment est-ce possible que le jeu ne reconnaisse pas le mot tête! Et ce n’est qu’un exemple.

One thing missing …

Getting Started with Words in Progress

Begin with seven letters displayed vertically. Drag a letter to another row to start forming a word. When you move a letter, a new one from your pile fills the empty spot. Submit a valid word by tapping the submit button, and new letters will replace the used ones. In Endless mode, complete challenges to keep your letter pile from running out. In Multiplayer mode, strategize to form longer words for higher points, but beware of incomplete words that could cost you the game. Practice mode is great for learning the mechanics before diving into competitive play.
