Scratches the itch

Vampire Survivors is a nearly perfect dopamine drip feed. I’ve played north of 200 hours on the Steam version. In the beginning you’re going to die a lot, but the unlocks come quickly, each giving you a bit more of an edge. The colourful pixel art and catchy chiptunes will keep you wanting more, and once that chest-opening tune worms its way into your brain you’ll be hooked!

Thanks Poncle

Probably the best mobile game in existence right now! Quite good compared to any average Idle games. Anyway thanks for making it free and adding the MM dlc and the Tides of foscari dlc. Also congrats on the British Academy Games Award for Evolving Game this year!

Fun & Addictive, But…

I love that this game can be played offline. It’s a satisfying combination of relaxing and tense gameplay. Unfortunately, I find it extremely annoying that it crashes frequently and I lose all of the progress that I made during that session when it does. If not for this, I would’ve given a solid five stars.

Love this game, the only thing that would be better is if it worked on all my devices

Missing DLC

Pretty fun. I spent hours on this and then realized that the Arcade version doesn’t come with all the DLCs.

Unfortunate for Arcade payers

While VS is an excellent game in and of itself, the folks in charge of putting it in the App Store seem unwilling/uninterested in giving Arcade users much of anything other than one DLC pack. There isn't even a way for us to buy DLC, but I suspect that's on what Apple allows. I'd be willing to wait a few weeks/months after DLC release, so that the creators have a chance to earn directly from those outside of Arcade, but even that seems to be a pipe dream at this point. I haven't had the reason to play in over 6 months, since I've completed everything available, and as it stands, I'm pretty much convinced to simply delete and walk away.

Good but more like VS- not +

It’s a good version of the game but it’s missing half the DLC so only 3 stars for me…

App crashing, lost progress

The app crashes shortly after loading, tried deleting and re installing, didn’t help but I lost all progress. Not sure what to do now

Great game but freezes
Thu Oct 31 2024 mobilekid

I have a lot of the powers unlocked and even with damage numbers, visual effects and screen shake turned off the game now often freezes around the 20 minute mark. It’s a lot of wasted time because there is no way to pick up where it froze and no guarantee the next run won’t do the same thing. If it wasn’t for the freezing it would be 5 stars.

Walkthrough

Getting Started

Choose a character with a unique starting weapon and perk. Move strategically to avoid enemies while your weapons auto-fire. Collect gems and items to level up, focusing on upgrading one or two offensive weapons initially. Prioritize power-ups like Armour and Luck early on, and refund them freely to experiment with new upgrade paths.

Advanced Strategies

Master positioning to evade enemy hordes while collecting bonuses. Evolve weapons by combining them with specific accessories, like pairing the Vampire Killer with the Duplicator Ring for enhanced effects. Explore stages like the Library or Dairy Plant to unlock relics and new characters.

Gameplays

Core Gameplay Loop

Survive waves of enemies in timed stages, collecting gold and items to improve your character. Each run lasts until death, but persistent upgrades carry over, making subsequent runs stronger. The goal is to survive as long as possible while unlocking new content.

Co-op Experience

Play with up to four players in local couch co-op (landscape mode). Coordinate with friends to cover different areas of the screen, share resources, and combine weapon effects to tackle tougher enemy waves.
