Great improvement on the first game! Great work!!

Brings back memories!

Love the game! I like how you can upgrade your Jetpack now. ——— Edit: After spending some time with the game and getting to Sector 8, I’ll give a better review in the hopes of seeing some improvements of the game. First off, there is A LOT more to do in the game than the first one which is a huge plus! I love that there’s lots of things to collect and upgrade, from your Jetpack, Power Ups, Badges etc. The Sectors do feel about right in terms of how long they take to complete for quick sessions. Though there are times where I feel it’s way too short and I wanted to keep playing (even at full health). Just to see how far I could go. I wish there was an endless mode after clearing a sector or a “Continue” and get x2 Rewards but the difficulty gets cranked up the longer you survive. Would like to play with the different Power Ups more. Maybe even reaching that stage, when hitting a Power up, you get to choose between 2-3 and they are random each time. An endless mode would be awesome! Now they do have an Arcade mode which is similar to what I was hoping for, but it’s limited to it’s own game mode. Would love an endless mode when completing sectors, your choice to continue or go back to base. That’s not to say Arcade Mode isn’t fun, I’ve had a blast playing it and seeing how far I can survive and playing the different game modes keeps the game fresh and entertaining! Big Stomper does need a bit of work I feel, jumping and gliding in the air is hit or miss, timing it is difficult, not my favorite garage power up. Galaxy is a BLAST to play! Almost wish it lasted longer Haha! That’s my fav so far. Looking forward to trying out the rest as I progress! Here’s hoping the game will receive updates and expansions! You all did a great job on making this sequel of a classic game! 👏😄

The first one was better

The addition of guns you shoot forward changes the game dramatically and makes it much less unique than the first. Moreover, the game has the structure of a gacha game even though there are no IAP in the Apple Arcade version. This means loot boxes, a lot of different currencies, and daily logins. Game also ties to trick you into enabling notifications by giving you "Yes" and "not right now" options but no "no".

Why is upgrading everything is so tedious?

This game is a blast when you can actually play it. I love the new enemies that show up as you progress. The levels are fun and look great. The arcade modes are a fun addition. I love that you can upgrade your jetpack, inventions, and vehicles. My biggest frustration is that all the animations and screen taps you have to do for the upgrades. It’s excessive. Spend tokens? Three screen taps (in different places). So if I have 10 tokens I have to tap the screen 30 times (you get tokens a lot). Upgrade inventions or vehicle? Bright white screen flash then an animation individually updates 3 stats (and you do upgrades a lot). Redeem missions? Tap the screen 3 times to cycle through rewards. More clicking to redeem stuff in the factor (imo the whole factory portion could have been left out. It doesn’t really add any value). Basically everything in the game is like this. Why? So much time is spent tapping the screen and waiting for animations to play through. All of this distracts so much from actually playing the main game and arcade modes. It honestly becomes a chore and keeps me from wanting to play more. When upgrading the jetpack it’s a single click and it’s instantly done. No long animation. All of the upgrades should be like this. I’m really surprised there’s no endless mode as that’s the original point to the game.

The graphics are amazing and the new additions to the game are really fun, but there is little content to play through. This game is story based, but there is only 3 chapters and after a few days they were all completed. There are also a few arcade games but not much, and they didn’t even include an endless run mode which is absurd considering the first game was only an endless run game There is also 3 vehicles and a handful of jetpacks and outfits, most of which are locked behind a daily reward system. All-in-all it will provide some fun a few days but you will quickly loose interest doing the same few levels over and over again

Fun, but extremely limited replayability… so far.
Sun Aug 28 2022 Richard_Toronto

Sure, this is fun, but there’s so much broken or illogical. Why does the Super Magnet badge claim to grab coins… but it doesn’t grab ALL coins? Why is the Boomerang an “epic” weapon when it’s just dreadfully awful to use? Why do mobs still drop XP tokens at max level? Why can you only replay the final stage and no others? Why does the end of each run or mini game still take an extra moment when counting XP “earned”… even though you’re at level 50? Why does the “explode 10 missiles” mission not count all missile explosions? If it’s meant to be “shoot down 10 missiles” then it should say that - if I intentionally run into a missile… I’ve exploded it and it should count. It doesn’t. Why are some of the mini arcade games crazy difficult and some are pretty easy to hit 100k points on? You would have to be almost pixel-perfect to hit 100k on the Gravity Suit mini game… and the taco game is just terrible with that awful cannon. Why do you end up with a glut of blueprints and gems at max level but coins are stupid hard to grind? The game needs a lot tuning and re-balancing. That being said, it IS enjoyable.

No cross save between iOS devices.

Terrible that this game has no cross save between devices. If I can’t have a saved profile between my iPhone and iPad, then it’s garbage to me. Deleting game now! Being on Apple Arcade and not having cross save is a joke.

Good but…

Good, an improvement, but why on earth did you keep the unskipable animations for power-ups, factory, etc. By the time you have seen these 10 times, they are AMAZINGLY IRRITATING. Please add an option to remove or skip the animations in the character screen (e.g. for power ups, the factory, arcade, etc. - no animation, or let players skip them) Apologies for the harsh review, but they are annoying enough to make playing not worth it. I have no idea if others feel the same way…

5 mins in disappointment

I don’t even really want to play anymore. What made the first one good was that it was really easy to pick up and play and now everything is locked behind upgrades and you can’t even just see how far you get. I expect this from freemium games but Jesus as an arcade title? No thanks . I’m sure I’ll hear “it gets better “ but honestly I’d rather play the first game some more
