I love the look, the feel, the tenderness, the hope and all the wonderful puzzles 🧩❣️❣️ I just finished this game and I am both satisfied and yet tempted to start it all over again to find or solve parts I missed! (And to stay in this beautifully arranged environment longer:) My 6 year old daughter has been playing on her own (with some help) and we’ve been playing side by side helping each other. While she watched me finish my game she was sad, said she never wanted to leave and immediately wanted to find a “last campfire 2”. As a Mom trying to change my world and the world beyond through teaching myself and my children, it is so wonderful to find such a touching game as this that is charming, engaging, beautiful, challenging and has such a truly deep and healing message - as we all have felt stuck and hopeless at times! And it’s wonderful to remember and reinforce that we are not alone and all in this together and we are here to help each other home. It’s such a joy to find a game with puzzles and challenges that my children love that isn’t intermingled with all the violence and elements of attack as so many other favorite games have. Even my 16 year old daughter, who loves Breath of the wild and Hero phoenix rising loves this game! We love good puzzles and it is such a wonderful joy to be healing the mind along the way! Thank You Creative team for making such a fun and beautiful game!
Embarrassingly, I just downloaded this game because I got the 12 Pro Max recently and wanted to test the graphics quality. I searched “HD game” and this popped up. At first I was bummed and wanted the graphics to be a bit higher quality... but immediately something happened inside me. My little heart was cradled by the whole mental and emotional production of it all. The dialog is actually really deep, music is moving, and the story is special. I just finished this game and can’t really explain the feeling I have. For all those little healers out there who enjoy thinking games, this isn’t a game... it’s an experience. It’s a healing, and captivating experience and I think it came out at just the time when the world needs this message of hope most. ❤️ Edit: I just read some other review and I definitely agree that this game helps mental health in more ways than I can explain. One review thought that the game should be free, but from what I can remember from the buy screen, I thought it is. If this was something done because of the comments, I am sincerely grateful. I needed this experience. Thank you. Also I don’t really know what to do know. I’m sad it’s over, and I want to play another game, but I don’t want one without the meaning and adorable nature of this one... think I’ll be on the hunt for an experience like this for a while 🙏🏾🥰
I don’t even have the words to describe just how great this game is. This game is not only ADORABLE, but also unique in all the best ways. The Last Campfire challenges both your mind and your heart. Every puzzle is strategic in it’s own way and encourages you to think outside of the box. The story it tells is so beautiful and narrated in such an alluring way. The closing scene captured my heart in a way no other game has before. It teaches an important lesson and puts life into a completely different perspective. The creators gave a face to what it feels like to lose hope & went a step further to show the importance of pressing forward throughout it all. The Last Campfire shows the impact that holding onto hope can have on an individual and those around them. It shows the importance of giving and lending a helping hand. This game has so much potential for aiding in mental health & I didn’t even think that was possible for a video game, much less an App Store game. I can’t find the words to describe just how great this game is. The Last Campfire will always hold a special place in my heart and I recommend it to absolutely everyone.
I’m going to get into how amazing the storyline and puzzles of this game are, because that would take forever and has already been said about a million times in the other reviews. I will say, though, that as someone with far too much free time and spends it all on video games, I was very pleasantly surprised by how long this game is. Most games claim to be long but only take me a few hours to complete. This one took me almost a day. As for the one problem I mentioned, that would be the boat mechanics. The boat is really difficult to control and it isn’t explained how to use it very well. It just say “drag your finger backwards to move forwards” (or something like that), but actually you have to turn the boat, which is not explained at all. It would easier if the boat just follows wherever you drag your finger, or something like that. Besides that, this is a great game and I so highly recommend it. Hope everyone is having a great day! :)
Hi and I know what you’re thinking. If you’re looking at the reviews, what is this game like well let me tell you. It is the most creative game in the world you have like so many puzzles and it’s just like oh my goodness and like when you first get in the game, get a really cool sad backstory but it’s not really that sad. I’m not really gonna spoil it. It’s sad but then it’s kind of mysterious cause you keep seeing a figure and you’re gonna find out who he is at the end of the game I think I haven’t finished game one thing I know if you’re looking at this then 100% definitely look into it. I play this game like every day anytime again so if you’re looking at my review, I really hope you enjoy this game and that it inspires you to be more creative and more puzzle solving but I would definitely recommend this game the last campfire most greatest game in the world. I hope you solved every and get to the end
The story in this game is amazing first of all, I think this game has the best story in a mobile game out there I love the fact how it can be dark and scary and fun and friendly at the same time. The final endgame part where you save the puppeteer of the forest king is amazing. I can’t even fathom how I felt when the game ended. And on to the gameplay, the gameplay is fun and unique combining open world and puzzles in one. I liked how each puzzle was unique but only one problem which is when you save the puppeteer of the forest king it should be harder because it’s the final puzzle in the game and was kind of underwhelming in some ways. But the design of this game is amazing and I recommend it and other then the final puzzle being to easy it did have the best decoration with the forest king and the giant tower. Other then the final puzzle I recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a puzzle game.
This game was incredible. The art style, the voice acting, the story and the music were all amazing. The puzzles were creative, with just the right amount of challenge to them. I am truly impressed. The one flaw I found does not pertain to the game entirely but to the device I played it on. I’m sure if I had on the Switch it wouldn’t have been an issue. The boat. Controlling it on the touch screen was difficult. Perhaps just have the boat work with the follow the finger mechanics instead. Trying to control the direction while swiping backwards felt very clumsy and I ended up stuck in corners enough that it became frustrating. With the white indicator showing the direction I’m meant to go in being replaced with the blue one showing the direction I’m actually going in made it all the more confusing. That, however, is literally my ONLY complaint for this one.
In a time where it feels like hope and faith is far in between, this ember certainly lit up my spirits. I was worried that it would be another repetitive puzzle arcade game, but it actually consist of a beautiful world full of places to explore, unique puzzles, and an engaging story. I actually felt driven to collect every story fragment and puzzle just because I wanted to get everything I could out of this game because I didn’t want it to end, and I certainly felt satisfied once I reached the ending! Every single puzzle is unique with its own gimmick and solution, which feels hard to come by in a lot of puzzle games now. Even the informal open-world puzzles were a lot of fun to accomplish! It took me about six hours to complete the game with all collectibles and achievements, but time flew because it was so enjoyable. I rarely recommend App Store games but this one is a MUST for casual gamers and critical thinkers.
This is actually my absolute favorite game that I have played on arcade and the App Store period. It’s so intriguing and just really fun, yet emotional. The story is beautiful and meaningful I didn’t want it to end! I love the graphics and the characters, the attention to detail is absolutely incredible, there really isn’t another game like this but I truly wish there was. The puzzles are challenging at times but not too challenging to where you get frustrated and give up, I know we have all been there lol. And that’s a big reason I like it so much, I like to think and solve puzzles throughout a game but I hate when they make it way too difficult and you have to watch a walk through or something or quit playing it completely. The narrator’s voice through out the game/story is awesome too, very calming and perfect for the game. Highly recommend!
I have never been more captivated and moved by an app game in my life, this game actually moved me and made me feel both challenged and satisfied with the characters and story. I just finished it, and I really have no words other than- if you like puzzles and games that both make you think and feel TRY THIS ONE! The music is great, the style are adorable the narration is amazing, I just love all of it. I would suggest this to anyone and it is my new favorite game to play, I only wish I could have the experience of playing it for the first time again and again because it’s just that good! Side note: I noticed two minor glitches during the game but nothing too major. The first time I went to interact with the robot and ended up getting stuck behind him, I wasn’t able to interact with him for awhile while I tried to figure out how to get back in front of him. The second was the puzzle where I interacted with him, I would be able to use the horn but when I stepped forward I was exited out of the puzzle every time I moved. For the puzzle part I just had to restart the app and open it up again, after that it was fine, but when I was stuck behind him I had to just keep trying to get in front of him. Other than those minor glitches I feel as though the game ran perfectly and I had no problems other than that!
