The game has definitely improved but there are still a few changes I would make. First, the quick drop controls always are too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I know you all have been changing the controls to make the better each update but I would love to just change the sensitive to my liking in the settings. Next, while I think leveling up is cool, it doesn’t do much in the game so I would love to get something or unlock something every time I level up. This would make it more exciting to do the missions because right now, I don’t do them because there is not a reason to do them. Lastly, please add a better way to pick songs. Right now you need to scroll through all the songs to find the one you want but the problem is, there are going to be too many songs for this to work effectively. Maybe there are 3 boxes per row and each box is a song. Then you can scroll through all the boxes and see many songs at once. Then you click on the song you want to play and chose the difficulty. That’s all my ideas, keep up the good work! P.S. I feel like the intro is too long and I always skip past it so I would make the intro shorter or I would just remove it and just have the animation of the game modes appearing.

Good game. A few annoying flaws
Wed Dec 20 2023 t1328

This is a great version of Tetris, although it has a few bugs that are annoying. The first is that every time I reload, I have to set the music and sound effects volume again. These settings are not remembered across sessions. The second is that the music being played appears to be the same. It’s gotten very old. Finally; I have had issues later in games, where tapping on a Tetris block doesn’t change its direction. Otherwise great.

Much improved since launch, still some suggestions

When this game first came out, it was kind of a mess. I finally redownloaded it again today because the concept clearly has potential. I am pleasantly surprised to see that the biggest issues are fixed, and it now feels like a game I’ll put some hours into. I still have a couple of issues with the game, but they’re minor: · It’s unclear what the three audio calibration options do, and which of them to select. A much better way to handle the audio calibration would be to implement a calibration “test” system - see Guitar Hero or Spin Rhythm’s audio lag calibration menus. · Navigating the menu system feels very clunky with a controller. Specifically, trying to scroll down the list of songs with my Xbox controller, only the d-pad works, and you can’t hold “up” or “down” to scroll faster. Add joystick support or a way to scroll faster. Also, certain menu options are inaccessible with a controller. Again in the song list, I am unable to change the sorting option without touching the screen. · Certain game settings aren’t accessible from the settings tab in the main menu. You must have started playing a song, then pause, then select settings to see these options. All in all, the core gameplay feels good, and that’s what matters. I hope my feedback helps.

Missing fundamental basic features

The gameplay is fairly interesting, but even after months, the game still lacks a way to change the keyboard controls, and the default controls are very strange, especially in menus — the options screen says to use the "backspace" key to go back, except that pressing the delete key on my keyboard does nothing. Likewise, the use of F1 for *anything* is extremely weird, because it means that the pause button is not esc (intuitive, expected) but instead "fn reduce screen brightness." The esc key, of course, brings up a "do you want to quit?" screen that seems like it means "and go back to the main menu," but actually it means "quit the app entirely." Overall it just does not feel like Mac software in multiple important ways.

Controls fixed with latest update, fantastic! 👍

Am so appreciative that the developer fixed the controls issue with the most recent update, thanks so much! Now it’s like I remembered it being when Tetris Beat first appeared in Apple Arcade. Love the music tracks and the terrific graphics, the game is a lot of fun to play! I could be incorrect, but I seem to recall there being a ghost mode that I very much enjoyed playing in Tetris Beat (am not sure if ghost mode is the correct name, though) — Regardless, if ghost mode did exist in the past, I hope they bring it back. But all in all, fantastic game, many thanks!!!

Not what I wanted.

I didn’t pay close attention and thought this was a normal Tetris game. But hence the Tetris Beats name. I didn’t have sound on and maybe that caused my frustrations with the game? Randomly my pieces would change as I was trying to position them. I would have a T and suddenly I have a block instead. Also the pieces often took several taps to move to the position I wanted. They seemed to be stuck on just flip flopping between two position instead of rotating through them all to get to how I needed it. I didn’t take the time to see if this had to do with the “beats” part of things. Not what I want. I rarely use sound when I play games and I just wanted a good old fashion time waster.

Tetris Beat

I understand the name is Tetris BEAT but it would be great if when you turn the music OFF in the settings it would stay that way. Also, most cases for the iPad have a stand that works horizontal, not vertical as this game is so you have to find another stand or hold the game up with your other hand to play. Thank goodness they don’t make me play the Mac version in vertical fashion. Otherwise the game is a five. I gave it three stars but it will not let me tap the rating for some reason.

Amazing

This game is exactly what I needed for this time in my life. Video games have always been important to me and not being able to have my consoles or have a foothold on my life, this game is keeping me at least somewhat busy. The only thing I wish with all my heart is that it was made to be played offline permanently. It worked before and now it doesn’t. I don’t have data on my phone right now and if I could have at least this one thing I’d believe in my wishes again.

A few suggestions
Sat Jul 22 2023 Hi, Im a personn

I like this game, but I have some suggestions on how to improve it. First of all, this game seems to assume the controller being used isn’t attached to the phone, but that’s not always the case. The controller I use for games is a Backbone controller, which wraps around my phone and is plugged in as a USB accessory. I think a good solution to this would be to add support for playing the game horizontally, although I understand if that wouldn’t work with the game. An issue I have with this game is fever mode. The visuals shown during fever mode are super distracting and make it more difficult to stay on beat. I think toning down the visuals during this time would improve gameplay quite a lot. That’s all for now. I might update this later if I have anything else. I like the idea of combining Tetris with a rhythm game, so thanks for bringing that to reality!

Play Tetris, Skip the Beat
Mon Dec 27 2021 ExperiencePeace

After playing other music games similar to guitar hero on the PlayStation, (there’s a game called Beatstar for the iPhone that is just amazing!) I thought I would give this game a try since I AM paying for an Apple Arcade subscription… Unfortunately, this game just doesn’t make any sense. Tapping to the beat?First off, I don’t know any of these songs. Second, I don’t have time to think about the beat while the Tetriminoes are falling and I’m trying to place them! So, I think if I don’t delete the game, I’ll keep it just so that I can play regular Tetris and just skip the “beat” part of it.
