Now updated with bug fixes and improvements!
Here are some screenshots of the game.
If you have a unique character equipped in the first slot when the name customization tutorial happens, the game cannot progress. The game seems to recognize that this might be an issue, you just can’t do anything about it. I’ll work around it by swapping things, but this should probably be fixed. Update: there is no workaround. No matter what I do, the situation pops up and I’m stuck. 1 star until this is fixed.
Here are some related news of the game.
Apple Arcade is rolling out new games this August 2025, offering exciting titles like Play-Doh World, Worms Across Worlds, and more.

Campaign Mode: Traverse 12 chapters across distinct worlds—Crystal, Jelly, Origami, Crochet, and Lava—with over 100 missions to take on solo or in couch co‑op. Your mission? Track down Professor Worminkle and stop his universe-destroying plans.
Quick Match: Jump into an instant bout against AI for a fast skill test.
Local Multiplayer: Engage up to 4‑team battles with friends or AI—mix alliances, mix chaos.
Practice Arena: Safely test out your arsenal—especially helpful since Worms weapons often lack clear explanations.
Check out the walkthrough videos to get your bearings—especially features like movement, aiming, and weapon usage.
2. Tackle Early Campaign Missions
Focus on mastering basic mechanics: terrain manipulation, trajectory aiming, and using simple weapons like grenades or bazookas.
3. Experiment in Practice Mode
Dive into the Practice Arena to explore your weapon options—jam bombs, sheep launches, teleporters—without risk.
4. Progress Through Biomes Strategically
Each world has unique hazards:
The Crystal world might have reflective surfaces or sharp edges,
Jelly could slow movement,
Origami or Crochet might have fragile terrain.
Adapt your tactics—think angles, escape routes, and terrain destruction.
5. Leverage Co‑Op or Local Multiplayer
If available, bring in a friend for screen‑sharing tactics. Coordinate attacks and use teammates to create strategic cover or diversions.
6. Fine‑Tune Aiming & Weapon Use
Behind-the-scenes chaos demands precision. Use Practice mode to fine‑tune, then apply those skills in missions—especially with area weapons like cluster bombs or airstrikes.
7. Replay with a Focus
Achieve objectives like speed, minimal damage taken, or exploring all weapon types to get the most out of each chapter.
While not specific to Across Worlds, previous Worms titles share common strategy themes:
Always retreat after your shot to avoid counter‑attacks.
Use environment for good—explode terrain under opponents or tumble them into water.
Know your worm order and anticipate the next player’s movements.
