Various improvements & fixes
Here are some screenshots of the game.
Super Impossible Road has a simple concept: race a high-tech marble down a winding track full of jumps and tight turns. Throw races with ruthless opponents, time trials, a Virtua Racer-type time gate mode, and various other challenges into the mix, and you have a deceptively simple and fun racer. It seems the developers took a heavy inspiration from the WipEout series, which is never a bad thing. Instead of mastering airbraking and weapons, you’re jumping off the track and hoping you make it back on before you’re knocked back to the last checkpoint you hit. The visuals are stunning; the tracks themselves look simple, but the backgrounds are amazing. You’ll probably want to plug in some headphones, too; techno and drum and bass fill the soundtrack and add to the feeing of pure speed. Unfortunately, it seems the tracks are randomly generated, so you don’t have the careful track design a more traditional racing game would have. If you like WipEout as much as I do, I think Super Impossible Road would be right up your alley.
This is a very fun and addictive game. So far on all of the maps I have figured out how to get all three stars before I move on to the next race. Does it take effort to find that perfect shortcut route...sure!! But isn’t that the point?? This game has kept me engrossed while playing and you can get three stars on all the races, it is not impossible. The 10 second reset makes sense because you have to pick and choose your shortcuts wisely instead of just jumping off the track and straight into space to the end of the track. What fun would that be!?! Everybody wants such instant gratification these days. Work for it people!! It makes it way more gratifying when you get all 3 stats to complete the course. Don’t listen to all the haters who can’t figure it out on these reviews. Just download it, practice and get better and have fun people!!!!!
Dope game guys! I had some issues with a daily track too... once or twice but it’s worked since. I would like to be able to earn new racer models and tracks as I progress though.... the fact that everything is available from the first day is, less exciting for me than the obsessive self employed game developer who took your fifth star away. (Btw you should shoot that person a response. Writing reviews is lackluster enough as is, imagine going out of your way to try and help gaminggroup create the perfect game for free and be ignored.) Perhaps though that’s the point? The games don’t need to be perfect, you guys just want to see that they are getting played. If we are playing them, you have already made your money... wait no... that can’t be right... I’ve gotta go. I’m lost and scared. Great game. Respond to your lovers. Not just your haters.
Still probably the best example of a 3D game being purpose-designed for mobile, and excel with smaller screens and simple controls. Graphics are gorgeous and risk-reward gameplay loop is addictively skill-dependent. The biggest criticism to give is probably just that after beating the entire campaign mode, the reward and acknowledgment is… nothing. And beating it with three stars on every course, the reward and acknowledgment is… still nothing. Seems a little silly that there’s not so much as a pop-up that says “yup, you beat it, nice job“ but at least the levels themselves were always extremely fair and rewarding.
It’s jarring to think about how the game that had preceded this one was only two contrasting colors; white background, white ball, and blue track & text. The endless, generated road was the only content but was still fun to play. Smash cut to this game. The tracks are rendered in beautiful 3D with texture-rich detail you can almost feel what metal was made with them in your head. The ball is now a phosphorescent sphere with fully-customizable, cyberpunk-esque armor with their own buffs & colors. The fact that each track has their own name, lore and backstory??? I can’t remember the last time a sequel took each positive of the first entry and pushed it to its absolute breaking point this well since Empire Strikes Back. This was the first game I played on Apple Arcade and to this day, I still see it as one of the essentials for any new subscriber. Easy to pick up and play yet difficult to compete in. The amount of love and dedication poured into a simple concept is worn on this game’s sleeve and that’s what makes it one of the best games on here. Job well done, developers.
My niece recently introduced me to this type of game, where one races madly on a twisting downhill course. Super Impossible Road is easily the best of this genre. The space themed artwork is incredibly beautiful, and the sound effects are high quality. There are some nice tutorial features that teach you the controls and also show how to take shortcuts. You can customize the racing ball for colors and handling capabilities. The controls are responsive, and the difficulty level is just right in that so far I haven’t been frustrated or bored. I can’t wait to show this well done game to my niece.
Gameplay should be pleasant. I want to enjoy every second of the ride as well as I enjoy flying in spider-man mobile game. Unfortunately here physics work the way it is not pleasant to play. You fall down to slow so sometimes it is unintuitive when you gona hit the ground. Speed is slow so you always want to charge but if you do so you will not be able to get out of all that damping and impossibility to make turns. In order to make game harder just increase the speed. Why would you make all this physics so weird so it’s unpleasant to play the game. I got annoyed very fast even tho I like such games and I like to just race
Super Impossible Road offers fun, high-skill-ceiling gameplay that is easy to learn and hard to master. There is a fairly long and enjoyable career mode with many types of races that makes it rewarding to improve your skills. The game makes it difficult but not impossible to earn three stars on all races, which is perfect for those who like to push themselves. The online mode is pretty much dead, but honestly I think the career mode is all you really need. Would recommend for sure.
A very simple and 90% complete racing game this is awesome the way it is all I ask is that you fix online mode there’s no one online, so I can’t play with anyone. There needs to be a lobby system, so I can play with real skilled people(the same people that do daily challenges.) and when I play online sometimes the game freezes and I can’t race fix these errors and I promise a 5 star review it’s a nearly perfect indie game it just needs at least these features. It’s perfect in it’s simplicity it’s what impossible road should’ve been it has many modes it has a campaign and it’s a fun game that is worth at least 20 dollars when it has a good online mode with people of course.
Controls are awful no air controls at all. Just left and right no up or down. The games whole thing is jumping off the track and landing on another part of the track. But they don’t let you jump off the track for more than 3 seconds before fading to black and forcing you back to the beginning even if you’re going to land perfectly on the track. They messed up the only mechanic of the entire game. Can’t stay on the track or you lose can’t jump off because you can’t control it in the air effectively and then time runs out and sends you back to the start anyway. It’s a lose lose situation. Cool concept great visuals but the game is so bad at the execution it comes out to be a dumpster fire.
