Cornsweeper+ is a puzzle game that combines the classic logic of Minesweeper with the fun of popping corn. You have to clear the board of corn kernels without triggering the hidden mines. The game features three difficulty levels, colorful graphics, and relaxing music. Cornsweeper+ is a simple and addictive game that will test your brain and your patience.
Here are some screenshots of the game.
Language resets to Arabic anytime the game is launched, Can’t mark mines, The store doesn’t work at all, Zero tiles don’t clear their corners, Opening move can kill you, failing a level reveals all the mines so replay is trivial. So much surface level stuff wrong it’s clear they just gave up after delaying it once and kicked it out the door
I like the idea and style of the game. The game seems not polished: some visual features are very visibly out of place in the current design, or redundantly blinking the whole level (as uncovered “mines”). The necessity to reclick from memory the earlier levels if you are unlucky is annoying; some levels are ambiguous.
The game itself is fun, but the app is just a mess. The game play is a mess, nothing is “open”
I really thought this seemed like an amazing game idea, but the execution is so flawed. Mechanics are not explained, the Lo-fi soundtrack is marginal in its quality, and there are visual and game glitches that are easily reproducible. There’s a kernel of a good idea here, but this game needs more development time.
The tutorial, which only shows up when you originally download the game, doesn’t teach anything. After that, you cannot rewatch the tutorial and there is no other guide for the game. I had to figure out on my own that this is the exact same as classic minesweeper, except you cannot mark the bombs (burn popcorn kernels in this case) which is very inconvenient. My game glitched so I am stuck on the “this game is better on headset” screen in Arabic, even if I close the app and reopen, it’s still the same issue. The game is now literally unplayable. Stick with classic minesweeper and don’t waste your time on this game.
I’ve come across a few bugs after only playing 5 minutes. Also why is this game 1gb??
I got past the tutorial and couldn’t even start the game must have been a bug everthing said “closed come back later”
Took minesweeper and made it worse in almost every way
items purchased from the shop seem to be able to be used in-game at random warning: the meteor items that will hit random tiles includes bombs
I actually really enjoy this — it’s relaxing and stylish. There are a few things I would like to see: -Rather than automatically revealing all of the mine locations after losing in Story Mode, give us a button that will show us the finished map -A little bit more explanation of the mechanics. I still don’t quite know what’s happening with the countdown mine that turns blue -Dark mode, where the background is black and the corn is yellow But this is the first time I’ve actually bothered to learn minesweeper, and the aesthetics have a lot to do with that. Well done!
